WLWT.COM CINCINNATI -- A former Bengal has been shot and wounded at his home in Alabama, according to television reports. WKRG-TV reported that Antwan Odom, who was cut at the start of training camp and has not signed with another team, was shot in the leg about 4:30 a.m. Monday at his Mobile County home. According to the report, sheriff's deputies said Tony Gildersleeve came in through an unlocked door and fired two shots with a .410 shotgun. The first shot struck a wall and the second struck Odom in the upper right thigh, the station reported. Odom was hospitalized, the station reported, but no additional details were available about his condition. The 29-year-old Odom lost his Cincinnati-area home in March in a fire that investigators ruled accidental. The Warren County auditor's website estimated the Mason home's value at nearly $1.2 million. Odom signed as a free agent with the Bengals in 2008 after four seasons with the Tennessee Titans, who selected him in the second round of the 2004 NFL draft out of the University of Alabama.
This has Mike Brown written all over it. Why? Because it doesn't make any sense.
